Pulps(meals) are generally referred to and used as a source of protein in the feed industry. Corn Germ (Embryo) Meal has an important place in animal nutrition among the pulp groups. The pulps have different structures and values ​​according to the processes they are subjected to. Corn Germ (Rusheym) is mixed with some coarse wheat bran and some of the oil is taken by passing through expeller (screw) presses. The pulp formed after this stage is named as EKSPELLER CORN GERM MEAL(PULP)OR OILY CORN GERM MEAL(PULP). The amount of wheat bran added to it affects the product values. When the fatty corn pulp is extracted, it turns into a low-fat high-protein product. When the fatty corn pulp(meal) is extracted, it turns into a low-fat, high-protein product. The protein content of low fat Corn Pulp (meal) ranges from 18% to 22%. Both products are rare and preferred important raw materials of the feed industry. It is used as an important and high quality protein source especially in cattle feeding and in farms.
