Meals(pulps) are generally referred to and used as a source of protein in the feed industry. Cottonseed meal has an important place in animal nutrition within the pulp groups. The pulps have different structures and values according to the processes they are subjected to. Cotton seed is passed through expeller (screw) presses and some of its oil is removed. The pulp that occurs after this stage is called EKSPELLER COTTON SEED MEAL or LEAF MEAL(PULP). When the leaf pulp is extracted, it turns into a low-fat product with high protein. The protein height is directly proportional to the separation of cotton seed (seed) linters (fiber). Cotton Seed Meal can have a protein content between 20% and 32%, depending on the amount of lintin (fiber) separated.
